We stayed at Magpies Rest for a few nights and absolutely loved it. The property was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and had a comfortable bed. The location was perfect for accessing the beautiful Drakes Trail and exploring Dartmoor. It was also just a short drive to the charming market town of Tavistock with its great shops and cafes. The owners were friendly and welcoming, striking the perfect balance between being helpful and giving us privacy. Highly recommended!

The annex on top of the garage is lovely in a great location close to Cornwall. Dog-friendly with beautiful views on the Drake Trail. Nick was a welcoming and attentive host, making sure everything was okay. Magpies Rest never disappoints, with spotlessly clean rooms, well-equipped kitchen, great shower, and comfortable bed. Perfectly located for exploring Dartmoor and Tavistock. Highly recommended!
